The Crusaders would finally break the ice at the 67:54 mark of the second, bagging a goal from Jamie Wynne on an assist from Roberto Rangel.
With time winding down, Carey would seal the match with a goal from Marc Guerrero off an assist from Caoimhin McConnell.
The Toppers would get off four shots on goal in the contest, but just couldn't find the net. Carey would get off five shots on goal, while Crusader keeper Henry Hampshaw was credited with the clean sheet.
BMCU (0-4-3, 0-2 SSAC) returns to SSAC action Saturday, Sept. 28 against Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga. at 2:30 p.m. CT.
