BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – GAME 1 – Blue Mountain Christian and Middle Georgia State met up here Friday to kick off the opener of the SSAC Series of the Week, as the Knights would get the upper hand, winning Game 1 by a score of 7-6.
The Toppers would go to

Austin Garrison followed that up with a shot off the left center field wall to clear the bases and drive in three runs to chase Vos.
In the bottom of the seventh,
Arderrius Townsend (Peeko) would jump all over a fast ball from MGA reliever Cameron Eason, sending it flying over the left field wall for his NAIA-leading 19
th homer of the season, and pulling BMCU to withing two runs at 7-5.
The Knights would send in lefty Gabriel Dyar for the final two innings, limiting the Toppers to a hit to grab the save.
Rivera and
Hayden Redding would have two hits each for BMCU in the loss, with Garrison driving in three.
Weather permitting, the two teams will settle the series tomorrow in a doubleheader at Topper Field with first pitch set for 12 p.m. CT. BMCU drops to 20-8 overall and 6-7 in SSAC play.
