Hunt Scores Thirty-Five in Victory Versus Oakland City

Oakland City, Ind.- BMCU had an impressive second half performance that led to another victory on Monday afternoon.
The Toppers traveled five hours to face Oakland City University on the southern border of Indiana.
BMCU is coming off an exciting win from Friday night against Arkansas Baptist. A game where Jason Hunt put up impressive scoring numbers for the Toppers and Monday afternoon was not any different.
BMCU was down seven points going into halftime as the Might Oaks had spot on shooting from the three-point line at sixty-three percent.
Oakland City guards, Williams and Negron, both had eleven points in the first half.
Hunt led both teams in scoring at the end of the first half with thirteen points.
Early in the second half, it was a back-and-forth game with the Might Oaks still trying to hang on to their lead.
That was until Hunt scored ten points in three minutes halfway through the second half to give the Toppers a five-point lead.
Oakland City tried to push forward with Williams hitting some clutch baskets to tie the ball game but got into foul trouble late in the game.
BMCU was perfect from the free throw line in the last minutes of the game. They went ten of ten from the line.
Hunt turned in a double-double performance thirty-five points and ten rebounds.
Israel Momodu had terrific day with a double-double performance as well with fifteen rebounds and ten points.
Ray Witt had a solid game with fifteen points and seven rebounds.
The Toppers are scoring the ball with efficiency and limiting opportunities for teams to go on runs.
They will look to continue momentum from the past two games against William Carey in a rematch from November on Thursday night in Hattiesburg.
