West Point, Ga.- BMCU improve to an overall record of six wins and two losses on the season with a road victory over conference foe, Point University.
Maddie Kirk got out to quick start in the game with five points and two rebounds in the first quarter, and Rebecca Walter and Isabella Carlson followed right behind Kirk with four points apiece.
With the game all tied up at thirteen after the first quarter, Deja Pryor helped the lady Toppers to a dominant second quarter with seven points and three steals defensively.
Crystin Guy scored five points as well for BMCU to take the lead at halftime by seven points.
Throughout the third quarter, it was the Charnita Brooks show as she scored thirteen points in the quarter.
Guy, again, scored five points and tacked on three steals to go along with Brooks in third quarter.
The lady Toppers were able to lead in the third quarter by as much as eighteen points, but the Skyhawks kept battling to lessen the blow to only an eleven-point lead by the end of the quarter.
BMCU was able to stay consistent throughout the fourth quarter with Kirk and Pryor scoring five points. Mackenzie Williams chipped in with four points in the quarter also.
In the end, the lady Toppers were able to zoom past the Skyhawks recording their second conference win on the season.
With a big performance in the third quarter, Brooks was the leading scorer in the game for BMCU with fourteen points. Kirk and Pryor were second with twelve points.
Guy added ten points to the lady Toppers scoring as well.
The lady Toppers will be back in action Saturday at 12:00 pm CT against Life University.
