MARIETTA, Ga. – Blue Mountain Christian extended its win streak to four here Friday, defeating Life University 3-1 (25-11, 21-25, 25-10, 25-23).
Three Volley Toppers hit double figures in kills, with
Kaytie Rutland leading the way with 14 at a bombing .423 clip.
Rae Ann Hall and
Olivia Ashton both had 10 kills apiece in the victory, while
Helen Roy added eight at a .353 clip.
Peyton Kidd dished out 18 assists and
Hailey Oliver chipped in 15 in the 6-2 rotation, while star defender
Jaiyah Jackson had 14 digs.
Blue Mountain got a big boost at the service line, as
Kora Wilson pounded five aces on the Life defense, and Hall added two.
Current SSAC Defensive Player of the Week
A'Dasia Porter added to her block list, stuffing three assisted and one solo, while Rutland had three assisted. Ashton chipped in two assisted.
BMCU has Life's number, as the Volley Toppers remain undefeated against the Georgia team at 4-0 historically.
BMCU (12-5, 4-3 SSAC) stays in Georgia Saturday, traveling to West Point to take on Point University in SSAC play at 1 p.m. CT.
