BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian made it eight straight wins here Friday night, winning an SSAC matchup with Brewton-Parker 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-12).
The win also marked the Volley Toppers' fifth straight conference victory, as it was a block party on the night for BMCU, with BMCU collecting 18 total blocks.
A'Dasia Porter,
Kaytie Rutland and
Ambre El Rhaffouli all had three assisted blocks apiece, while
Olivia Ashton and
Sammie Smith had a pair of assisted blocks. Rutland and Ashton both had a solo block apiece.
The BMCU defense absolutely stifled the BPC offense, as the Barons would hit -.052 on the night.
The Toppers never let the Barons into the match, as BMCU spread the wealth of kills around.
Ashton would drill seven kills at a .538 clip, while
Rae Ann Hall added seven of her own.
Helen Roy chipped in six kills at .217, while
Peyton Kidd had 13 assists and
Hailey Oliver had 12 in the 6-2.
Kora Wilson contributed 14 digs on defense, while
Jaiyah Jackson and
Kerianna Collins both had a pair of aces in the win.
BMCU (16-5, 6-3 SSAC) returns to their home floor Saturday in SSAC play, hosting Middle Georgia State at 1 p.m. CT.
