Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – GAME 1 (Box Score) Blue Mountain Christian Softball dropped Game 1 of a doubleheader Tuesday at home to Louisiana Christian, falling 5-0.
LCU pitcher Arlee Darbonne was the main story, tossing a complete-game, two-hit shutout against the Toppers.  She would strike out six Blue Mountain hitters along the way.
Jacy Weaver (JR/Lexington, Tenn.) suffered the loss for Blue Mountain, as the Wildcats got her for five runs on five hits in 3.2 innings pitched.
All five runs for LCU would come in the fourth capped by a two-run double by Jaicee Stott and a two-run single from Kayla Dauthier.
Skylar Lee (SO/Louisville, Ky.) got Blue Mountain's first hit of the game in the sixth, a bunt single to third.
Lane Thaxton (SO/Smiths Stations, Ala.) came on in relief for Blue Mountain, tossing 3.1 innings of three-hit ball with a K.
 
GAME 2
(Box Score) Blue Mountain rebounded in the nightcap, downing the Wildcats 7-0 behind a complete-game shutout from Harley Mullins (SR/Saltillo, Miss.).
Mullins tore through the LCU offense for seven innings, allowing only four hits with two Ks.
The Toppers grabbed the early lead in the bottom of the first on a three-run double by Mallory Jo Mitchell (SO/Athens, Ala.) to left.
Blue Mountain struck again in the third getting a two-run single by Sam Whitwell (SO/Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and a two-run double by Haley McDaniel (FR/Hazel Green, Ala.) to center, chasing LCU starter Miah Broussard, giving the Toppers all they would need for the victory.
Julianna Ingram (JR/Water Valley, Miss.) and Evi Edwards (FR/Pell City, Ala.) both finished with two hits and two runs scored apiece for Blue Mountain, while Mitchell drove in three.
BMCU (4-4) returns to action March 3 against Bethel (Tenn.) in the Gulf Shores Invitational with first pitch set for 9 a.m.
