Palm Harbor, Fla.- No. 16 Blue Mountain Christian Men's Golf turned in a strong showing at The Invite at Innisbrook, finishing fifth in a 20-team field Tuesday at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.
The Toppers posted rounds of 294, 294 and 296 on the par-71, 7,209-yard course to finish the three-round tournament at 884.
The field featured 11 teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25, including five ranked inside the top 10. BMCU finished ahead of six nationally ranked programs, including No. 3 Dalton State, No. 14 Science & Arts, No. 17 Grand View, No. 21 William Carey and No. 23 Southeastern.
Alex Nordstrom led the Toppers individually, earning a top 10 finish after tying for 10th at 217. Nordstrom opened the tournament with a 2-under 69, BMCU's lowest round of the event, before carding rounds of 73 and 75.
Agustin Frutos made a steady climb up the leaderboard throughout the tournament. 
After opening with a 77, Frutos improved to a 74 in Monday's second round before firing an even-par 71 Tuesday. His final-round performance moved him into a tie for 19th at 222.
Axel Houdaille gave BMCU a third top 25 finisher, tying for 22nd at 223 following rounds of 76, 73 and 74.
Cobey Riddle finished tied for 29th at 224, carding rounds of 73, 75 and 76, while Ayers Mathis rounded out the BMCU lineup in a tie for 68th at 229.
Adrian Perez competed as an individual and finished tied for 41st at 226 after rounds of 75, 73 and 78.
"I thought our guys competed well against a very strong field this week," BMCU Head Coach Kevin Barefield said. "We were consistent throughout all three rounds, and there were a lot of positives to take away from this tournament. Alex had another good week for us, Carlos finished with a really strong round today, and as a team we showed that we can compete with some of the best programs in the country."
No. 1 Keiser captured the team championship at 861, followed by T-No. 5 Reinhardt at 869 and No. 9 Coastal Georgia at 878. T-No. 5 Webber International finished fourth at 881, three strokes ahead of BMCU.
