Hattiesburg, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian women's golf completed three rounds of competition at the Carey Collegiate on Tuesday, finishing sixth at Canebrake Country Club.
The Toppers saw several strong individual rounds throughout the tournament on the par-72 course, led by a top-20 finish from Ansley Pratt.
Pratt paced BMCU with rounds of 79, 78 and 80 to finish 18th overall with a 237 (+21). Her second-round 78 marked her lowest score of the tournament.
Giuliana Frutos finished at 248 (+32) after rounds of 84, 79 and 85, while Morgan Dabbs improved in each round of the tournament.
Dabbs followed an opening-round 87 with an 82 before closing with an 81 to finish at 250 (+34).
Kayla Shaull also ended the tournament on a strong note, carding a final-round 79 after rounds of 84 and 88 to finish at 251 (+35). 
Abby Gattis contributed rounds of 87 and 83 during the opening two rounds.
Competing individually, Erin Porter turned in one of BMCU's lowest rounds of the tournament with a 77 in Round 2. Porter finished with rounds of 82, 77 and 85 for a 244 (+28) total. 
Abby Moore also represented the Toppers individually, recording rounds of 100, 86 and 91.
As a team, BMCU posted its best round of the tournament in Round 2 with a 322 and followed with a 325 in the final round to secure sixth place.
"We had several good individual rounds throughout the tournament, and I was pleased with the way our team continued to compete over all three rounds," BMCU head coach Kevin Barefield said. "We saw some encouraging things that we can take with us as we continue through the fall season."
