Montgomery, Ala.- Jonah Barnhardt continues to build on the success of his sophomore campaign, earning SSAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors after another strong showing for Blue Mountain Christian.
Barnhardt raced to a seventh-place finish at the Harding Invitational, completing the four-mile course in 21:17.60.
The BMCU junior entered this season looking to build upon a breakout sophomore year in which he earned First Team All-SSAC honors. 
His performance at Harding adds another strong result to an impressive stretch for Barnhardt as one of the leaders of the Topper men's cross country program.
"Jonah has really grown as a runner over the last year, and I think we're continuing to see that development," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said. "He competes every time he steps on the course, and he has set some high expectations for himself this season. I'm proud of the way he has started his junior year."
With another top-10 performance now under his belt, Barnhardt looks poised to continue building on the success that highlighted his sophomore season.
