Searcy, Ark.- Blue Mountain Christian University women's cross country turned in a strong team performance Friday, earning a second-place finish at the Harding Invitational.
The Toppers were led by Ella Shepherd, who crossed the finish line sixth overall with a time of 19:45.80. Shepherd was the first BMCU runner across the line and earned six points toward the team score.
Kaedyn Wilson followed with another top 15 finish for Blue Mountain Christian, placing 15th overall with a time of 21:01.10.
The Toppers then packed three runners closely together.
Ally Moore finished 20th at 21:36.90, followed by Jorja Kate Mooneyhan in 21st at 21:44.60. Ruth Hutchinson rounded out BMCU's five scoring runners in 24th with a time of 21:58.50.
Lauren Paul finished 32nd overall at 23:52.10, while Leah Montgomery completed the BMCU group in 35th at 25:15.80.
