WTennis vs Rust season finale 2026

Toppers close regular season with win over Rust, set for SSAC Tournament as No. 4 seed

New Albany, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian closed out its regular season with a strong performance against the Rust Bearcats, using the match as a final tune-up ahead of the SSAC Tournament. The Toppers enter postseason play as the No. 4 seed.
The Toppers set the tone in doubles action, securing two key victories. Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris followed with a 6-3 victory.
Blue Mountain Christian also claimed the third doubles point by default, as Rust did not have enough players to complete the lineup.
In singles play, the Toppers continued their strong showing. Mordiz delivered a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win, while Ramos matched that effort with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.
Lina Cetina added another point with a steady 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Rust picked up points in the middle of the lineup, as Terris fell 4-6, 0-6 and Malyaporn dropped a hard-fought match in a 10-5 tiebreaker.
Blue Mountain Christian also secured a win by default at the final singles position.
With the regular season complete, the Toppers now turn their full attention to the SSAC Tournament, where they will compete as the No. 4 seed.
