Toppers finish fifth at SSAC Women’s Golf Championship

Greenville, Ala.- The Blue Mountain Christian women's golf team wrapped up its 2025-26 season on Tuesday with a fifth-place finish at the SSAC Women's Golf Championship, held at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Alabama. 
The tournament was played on a par-72 course with a total yardage of 5,838.
Morgan Dabbs led the way for the Toppers, finishing 22nd overall with rounds of 88, 78, and 87 for a three-round total of 253. 
Erin Porter and Abby Gattis each turned in strong performances as well, tying for 23rd overall. Porter posted rounds of 86, 84, and 84 for a total of 254, while Gattis carded rounds of 87, 87, and 80 for a matching total of 254.
Adina Ataullah added a 28th-place finish for Blue Mountain Christian with rounds of 83, 93, and 91 for a total of 267. 
Abby Moore rounded out the Topper lineup in 29th place after shooting 88, 92, and 88 for a 268.
The conference championship marked the final event of the season for the Toppers, closing the book on another year of competition and growth for the program.
Head Coach Kevin Barefield emphasized both the growth of the team and the promise ahead as the season came to a close.
"This group gave us a lot to build on," Barefield said. "They continued to compete, learn, and grow throughout the year, and that gives us a lot of hope for what the 2026-27 season can become. We're excited about the direction of this program and the opportunity that's ahead for these young women."
With the season now complete, the Toppers will turn their attention toward preparation for the 2026-27 campaign.
