Gulf Shores, Ala.- The Blue Mountain Christian women's track and field team delivered a strong performance at the SSAC Championships, highlighted by three podium finishes and multiple personal best efforts across distance and field events.
Kaedyn Wilson led the way for the Toppers with a pair of third-place finishes in the distance events. 
The freshman standout clocked a personal record time of 18:50.63 in the 5000-meter race to earn bronze, before returning in the 10,000-meter race to secure another third-place finish with a time of 39:59.42. 
Her performance in the 10,000m not only marked a personal record, but also set a new school record, continuing her standout season for Blue Mountain Christian.
Ella Shepherd added another podium finish for the Toppers in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing second with a time of 12:06.54. 
Shepherd also contributed to the Toppers' distance depth as part of the 4x800-meter relay team that placed fifth overall.
In the middle-distance events, Jorja Kate Mooneyhan recorded a personal record in the 800-meter run, finishing 10th with a time of 2:35.02. 
Ruth Hutchinson also turned in a personal best performance in the 1500-meter run, placing 14th with a time of 5:33.24, while adding a 16th-place finish in the 800m (2:44.41).
The Toppers saw additional contributions from Leah Montgomery in the 1500m (20th, 6:24.42) and Lauren Paul in the 5000m (16th, 24:08.90), rounding out the distance group's efforts.
In the field events, Abby Laney recorded a season-best throw of 29.15 meters in the discus, placing 10th overall.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Shepherd, Mooneyhan, Hutchinson, and Wilson combined for a fifth-place finish, showcasing the Toppers' depth and endurance across the distance lineup.
Blue Mountain Christian closed out the 2026 season with an impressive showing at the SSAC Championships, highlighted by three podium finishes, multiple personal records, and a new school record.
