Mooneyhan brothers lead Toppers with multiple podium finishes at SSAC Championships

Gulf Shores, Ala.- The Blue Mountain Christian men's track and field team turned in a strong performance at the SSAC Championships, highlighted by multiple podium finishes in the field events and several personal record efforts across distance races.
Jared Mooneyhan led the way for the Toppers with a second-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.35 meters. His mark not only set a new school record but also highlighted a historic day for the Toppers in the event. 
Joseph Mooneyhan followed closely behind with a third-place finish at 3.20 meters, while Braxton Enzor added a fourth-place finish at 2.75 meters, as all three vaulters recorded personal bests to give Blue Mountain Christian three top-four finishes.
In the distance events, Jonah Barnhardt delivered one of the top performances of the meet for Blue Mountain Christian. 
Barnhardt placed fifth in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 32:23.23, marking both a personal record and a new school record. 
He also added a seventh-place finish in the 5000-meter race with a time of 15:35.72.
Erick Flores and Noah Harrington each recorded personal bests in the 5000m, finishing 15th (17:28.45) and 17th (17:56.94), respectively. 
JT Draper added a personal record in the 10,000m (37:55.20) while also competing in the 5000m.
In the middle-distance events, JaKarien Perry led the Toppers in the 800-meter run with a 13th-place finish (2:03.97), followed closely by Lukas Dykes (14th, 2:04.42) and Sammuel Hopper (18th, 2:12.98). 
Dykes also competed in the 1500m, placing 13th with a time of 4:18.00, while Lelan Boulden finished 17th (4:50.17).
Enzor also competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase, recording a personal best time of 11:27.24 to place 11th.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Perry, Hopper, Boulden, and Dykes combined for a sixth-place finish with a time of 8:33.65.
Blue Mountain Christian closed out the 2026 season with a strong showing at the SSAC Championships, highlighted by podium finishes in the pole vault, a school record performance, and multiple personal best efforts across the roster.
