Toppers place fourth at SSAC Men’s Golf Championship, Riddle and Nordstrom finish top five

Greenville, Ala.- No.11 BMCU Men's Golf delivered a strong performance at the SSAC Men's Golf Championship, finishing fourth out of ten teams after three rounds of competition at the RTJ Golf Trail in Greenville, Alabama. 
The course, set at par 72 and spanning 6,864 yards, provided a challenging test in one of the NAIA's most prestigious and competitive conference championships—an experience that will serve the Toppers well as they prepare for the NAIA National Championship.
The Toppers put themselves in a strong position early in the tournament before ultimately finishing fourth in a highly competitive field.
Leading the way for Blue Mountain were Cobey Riddle and Alex Nordstrom, who each finished tied for fifth place with a three-round total of 219. Riddle posted rounds of 71, 71, and 77, while Nordstrom turned in scores of 70, 76, and 73, as both golfers navigated a deep and talented field to secure top five finishes.
Simon Meiby and Damil Ataullah each turned in solid performances, finishing tied for 26th with identical totals of 230. Meiby recorded rounds of 81, 75, and 74, while Ataullah opened with a 71 before following with rounds of 81 and 78. Jeremiah Bell placed 44th overall with rounds of 82, 80, and 87 for a total of 249.
Shameer Jayram contributed in rounds two and three, posting scores of 78 and 74 for a two-round total of 152 after entering the lineup following the opening round. 
Acen Lambert competed in the first round, recording a score of 82 before being subbed out.
Head Coach Kevin Barefield was also recognized for his efforts this season, earning SSAC Co-Coach of the Year honors.
The Toppers' fourth-place finish came against a highly competitive field, reinforcing their ability to contend among the conference's top teams while gaining valuable experience ahead of the NAIA National Championship.
