Searcy, Arkansas- The Toppers turned in an impressive all-around performance at the Bryan Phillips Invitational, highlighted by multiple event victories, podium finishes, and strong depth across distance events.
Leading the way was
Jonah Barnhardt, who delivered a dominant performance in the men's 5000m, capturing a first-place finish with a time of 15:51.83. Barnhardt's win set the tone for a strong day on the track, as the Toppers placed five runners inside the top 15 in the event.
Erick Flores followed with a seventh-place finish, while
Noah Harrington (10th), JT Draper (11th), and
Lelan Boulden (14th) added to the team's depth in the distance race.
On the women's side, Ella Shepherd continued her strong season with a first-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase, clocking in at 11:57.70. Shepherd also contributed in the 5000m, placing sixth, as the Toppers showcased their versatility across events.
Kaedyn Wilson added another standout performance, earning a second-place finish in the women's 5000m with a time of 19:12.44, continuing her consistent presence near the top of the leaderboard.
Lauren Paul also contributed with a 13th-place finish in the event.
The Toppers saw solid performances in the middle-distance races as well.
In the men's 1500m,
Lukas Dykes led the group with a 15th-place finish, while
Lelan Boulden added another effort in the event.
Dykes also competed in the 800m, where he narrowly followed teammate Ja'Karien Perry, who led the Toppers with an 18th-place finish.
Samuel Hopper rounded out the Topper competitors in the race.
For the women, Jorja Kate Mooneyhan and Ruth Hutchinson competed in both the 1500m and 800m, showing consistency across events.
Mooneyhan led the duo in both races, while Lead Montgomery added depth in the 1500m field.
In the steeplechase,
Braxton Enzor represented the men's side with a determined effort, while Shepherd's victory highlighted the event for the Toppers.
In field events,
Abby Laney competed in the women's discus, adding to the Toppers' presence across multiple disciplines with an 18th-place finish.
Overall, the Toppers combined individual victories with strong team depth, particularly in distance events, signaling continued progress as the season moves forward.
