Toppers compete against Freed-Hardeman

Jackson, Tenn.- The Blue Mountain Christian University women's tennis team competed against the Freed-Hardeman Lions, showing fight throughout the lineup as the Toppers continued to build experience against strong competition.
In doubles play, the No. 1 pairing of Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos put together a competitive effort before falling 6-4. 
Lucia Garcia and Lina Cetina faced a tough matchup at No. 2 doubles, while the team of Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris played one of the closest matches of the day, narrowly dropping a 7-5 decision after a hard-fought contest.
The Toppers found success during singles play with a pair of victories. Lina Cetina highlighted the day with a strong performance, winning a tightly contested first set in a 7-6 tiebreak before closing out her match with a 6-3 second set. 
Eugenia Ramos was also dominant in her matchup, earning a convincing 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Nami Malyaporn showed resilience in her match, responding to a 6-3 opening set loss by taking the second set 6-1 to force a tiebreak before ultimately falling. Camila Mordiz battled at the top singles position, while Garcia and Kiersten Terris continued to compete hard against their opponents.
Blue Mountain will look to carry the momentum from its singles victories into upcoming matches as the Toppers continue their season.
