Montgomery, Ala.- Blue Mountain Christian standout
Cody Presley has been named the SSAC Baseball Player of the Week for the second time this season after delivering a dominant offensive performance that powered the Toppers to a perfect 5–0 week.
Presley played a central role in a successful stretch for BMCU that included a doubleheader sweep of Crowley's Ridge and a three-game sweep of Point University in the Toppers' first SSAC series of the year. Across the five games, Presley was consistently productive at the plate, posting an impressive .668 batting average while slugging .750 for the week. He drove in eight runs, repeatedly coming through in key moments as the Toppers built momentum early in conference play.
Head Coach
Taylor Clark praised Presley's approach, noting that his impact extends well beyond the box score. "Cody has been locked in from day one this season," Clark said. "His preparation, confidence, and ability to stay within himself at the plate set the tone for our lineup. He competes every at-bat and brings a calm presence that our team feeds off of."
Presley's consistency has been a major catalyst for the Toppers' success, and this latest honor further underscores his importance to the lineup as BMCU continues SSAC play.
With his second Player of the Week award already secured this season, Presley remains a steady force at the heart of the Toppers' offensive surge.
