NEW ALBANY, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian Women jumped all over NCAA DIII Millsaps here Saturday to open the 2026 tennis season, easily winning 6-1.
The Lady Toppers opened the day with three wins on Doubles courts, grabbing the point and following that up with five Singles court victories.
The teams of Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos, along with Lina Cetina and Lucia Rodriguez Garcia won Doubles 6-2, while Valeria Manquillo and Kiersten Terris shut out their opponent 6-0.
Mordiz would take Court 1 with a forfeit victory, while Cetina won 6-0, 6-2 and Manquillo won 6-0, 6-2 on Court 3.
Ramos would fall in a thriller on Court 2, 3-6, 6-2, 8-10, while Rodriguez Garcia shut out her opponent 6-0, 6-0 on Court 5 and Nami Malyaporn won also on Court 6 by a score of 6-2, 6-3.
BMCU (1-0) returns to action Tuesday, February 10 against Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss. at 1 p.m. CT.
