NEW ALBANY, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian Men cut through NCAA DIII opponent Millsaps here Saturday afternoon, shutting out the Majors 7-0.
The Toppers opened the day with three victories in Doubles to take the point, with Adriaan Engelbrecht and Kevin Kotzé winning Court 1 by a score of 6-1, Pablo Cruz and Luis Lainer winning 6-4 and Caleb Rogers and Craig Blevins winning 6-2.
In Singles, Engelbrecht won Court 1 by a score of 6-2, 6-4, Kotzé won Court 2 by a score of 6-3, 7-5 and Cruz won 7-5, 6-2 on Court 3.
Court 4 saw Lainer win 6-0, 6-1, Shriraam Anbanantan easily won 6-1, 6-2 on Court 5 and Maj Langerholz won on Court 6 by a score of 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.
BMCU (1-0) returns to the courts Tuesday, February 10 at 1 p.m. against Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss.
