MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Blue Mountain Christian Men's Tennis won another early season match, its second straight, defeating in-state NAIA foe Rust College 5-2.
In Doubles, the Toppers grabbed the point, as
Luis Lainer and Kevin Kotzé won Court 1 by a score of 6-1,
Juan Daniel Arevalo Rodriguez and
Shriraam Anbanantan lost 4-6 and
Caleb Rogers and
Craig Blevins won 6-3 on Court 3.
In Singles, Lainer won in a shutout 6-0, 6-0 on Court 1, Blevins won a thriller 5-7, 6-3, 10-8 on Court 2, Rogers won 6-4, 7-6 on Court 3, while Aervalo Rodriguez dropped on Court 4 by a score of 1-6, 2-6.
On Court 5,
Luis Felipe Cespedes won 6-4, 6-3 and on Court 6
Joel Renfroe fell 3-6, 6-2, 6-10.
BMCU (2-0) next plays a doubleheader against Christian Brothers at 10 a.m. CT and Cumberland (Tenn.) at 1 p.m. CT Friday, Feb. 13 in Memphis, Tenn.
