Dalton, Ga.- Blue Mountain Christian women's golf finished 11th among a loaded 17-team field Tuesday at the Lady Roadrunner Classic, hosted by Dalton State College at Dalton Golf & Country Club.
The tournament featured 13 teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25, including eight programs inside the Top 10. BMCU posted rounds of 312, 328 and 320 for a three-round total of 960.
Giuliana Frutos led BMCU individually, tying for 24th after improving in each round of the tournament. Frutos opened with a 79 before carding a 78 in the second round and a team-low 77 in the final round for a three-round total of 234.
Ansley Pratt finished tied for 47th after rounds of 78, 84 and 78 for a three-round total of 240.
Erin Porter provided BMCU's lowest round of the tournament with an opening-round 76. She followed with rounds of 83 and 89 for a three-round total of 248, finishing 63rd.
Kayla Shaull recorded rounds of 79, 87 and 83 for a three-round total of 249, finishing tied for 64th.
Morgan Dabbs rounded out the BMCU lineup and improved her score in each round. Dabbs carded rounds of 85, 83 and 82 for a three-round total of 250, finishing 70th.
BMCU's 11th-place finish came against a field that included No. 1 SCAD, No. 3 Dalton State, No. 5 Marian, No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 7 Cumberlands, No. 9 William Carey and No. 10 Southeastern, among others. The Toppers finished ahead of six teams, including No. 14 Cumberland and No. 15 Pikeville.
