Maumelle, Ark.- Blue Mountain Christian men's golf turned in a strong showing at the CBC Fall Invite on Monday and Tuesday, finishing third out of nine teams at The Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle, Arkansas.
The BMCU B team recorded a three-round total of 920 strokes, posting rounds of 308, 312, and 300. The Toppers saved their best performance for the final round, improving by 12 strokes from the second round to close out the tournament.
Damil Ataullah led the way for Blue Mountain Christian, earning third place individually with a three-round total of 224 strokes. 
Ataullah opened the tournament with an impressive two-under-par 70 before adding rounds of 78 and 76 to secure his top-three finish.
Clay Adams followed with a strong performance; finishing tied for 10th with a total of 228 strokes. 
Adams improved in each round, carding scores of 79, 76, and 73 to finish 12 strokes over par.
Thomas Mead also put together an impressive finish, placing tied for 12th with a three-round total of 229 strokes. 
After opening with a 79 and following with a 78, Mead delivered an even-par 72 in the final round, the lowest closing-round score for BMCU.
Daniel Sharpe finished 28th with rounds of 81, 80, and 79 for a total of 240 strokes. Shameer Jayram rounded out the team lineup with scores of 80, 82, and 81, finishing 33rd with 243 strokes.
Competing as an individual, Emilio Baquero Alvarez finished tied for 21st with a three-round total of 235 strokes, recording rounds of 79, 80, and 76. Eli Cooper also represented the Toppers as an individual competitor, finishing tied for 29th.
"I'm proud of the way our guys competed throughout the tournament," said Head Coach Kevin Barefield. "We had some really encouraging individual performances, especially from Damil with his third-place finish. Clay and Thomas both finished strong, and it was great to see the team put together its best round on the final day. These are the kinds of experiences that help our players continue to improve, and I'm pleased with the effort they showed this week."
