Huntsville, Ala.- The Blue Mountain Christian women's cross-country team traveled to Huntsville on Friday morning to compete in the highly competitive Southern Showcase, a meet stacked with SEC and ACC programs.
Freshman Kaedyn Wilson once again led the way for the Toppers, finishing with a time of 19:06 to place 218th overall in the field of 480 runners. Senior Aubrey Britt followed closely behind, posting a time of 19:49 for a 298th-place finish.
Another freshman, Elsie Wilbanks, turned in the third-best finish for BMCU, clocking 20:37, while Harley Garner (21:02) and Macy Bain (21:25) rounded out the Topper scoring effort.
The Southern Showcase featured one of the deepest fields the team will face this season, giving BMCU valuable experience against top-tier competition.
The Toppers will return to action next week, hosting the Topper Trails College Classic on their home course.
