Greenville, AL- After the final day of the SSAC Men's Golf Championship, the Toppers battled to a sixth-place finish.
Acen Lambert had an excellent tournament which placed him 13^th individually, shooting 72-76-74-222.
Pontus Nordstrom had a phenomenal performance in round two that helped placed him 19^th overall. He shot 77-69-79-225.
Cobey Riddle continued to find momentum in his play throughout that year and the SSAC Championship was not any different. He placed 24^th individually, shooting 77-75-76-228.
Tucker Parker shot consistently throughout the tournament to place him 36^th, with a score of 79-78-77-234.
Clay Adams and Alex Nordstrom both finished 40^th and 41^st respectively. Adams shot 77-78-80-235 and Nordstrom shot 76-76-84-236.
Tom Lehman finished the Toppers performance, finishing in 45^th. He shot 81-83-75-239.
Coach Barefield said, "Extremely proud of guys and season they put together. He continues, "While the tournament didn't unfold quite the way we hoped, they competed with heart and grit like they always do. With such a young team, this experience – both the tournament and the season as a whole – will serve as a huge step in our growth. Without a doubt, this has been one of the best teams in the history of our program, and I'm truly grateful for each of these guys."
