MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced today Blue Mountain Christian right-hander Cameron Gordon has been named the Pitcher of the Week.
Gordon made two appearances in BMCU's series victory over No. 9 William Carey during the week, going 1-0 across six innings, striking out nine hitters and allowing a lone run.
"Cam had a big series against William Carey," BMCU head coach Taylor Clark said.  "He's been a workhorse for us on the mound, and he just continues to compete and get better each outing.  We're very proud of him winning this week's award."
Gordon and the Toppers close out the regular season Friday and Saturday against UT-Southern in Pulaski, Tenn.
