West Point, Miss.- BMCU hosted the BMCU Spring Classic at the well renowned Old Waverly golf course this week.
Eighteen universities came to compete in West Point Monday and Tuesday.
Cobey Riddle placed 19
th individually, shooting 75-70-78-223.
Alex and
Pontus Nordstrom finished 28
th in in the tournament. Alex shot a consistent 75-75-77-227 and Pontus improved his rounds scores as the tournament progressed for an overall score of 77-76-74-227.
Clay Adams finished 49
th with a score of 76-76-80-232.
Tom Lehman placed 60
th and
Acen Lambert 62
nd in the BMCU Spring Classic. Lehman shot 86-74-77-237 and Lambert 83-77-78-238.
Tucker Parker finished 66
th and Codey Cleveland 72
nd. Parker shot 81-77-81-239 while Cleveland shot 83-80-78-241.
Jake Ware finished 76
th and
Daniel Sharpe 80
th. Ware shot 85-77-81-243 and Sharpe shot 83-75-89-246.
Shameer Jayram and
Eli Cooper rounded out the scores for the Toppers. Jayram placed 82
nd and shot 86-84-77-247 while Cooper shot 83-82-84-249.
Coach Barefield said, "Old Waverly is a historic course and not for the faint of heart." He continues, "We knew how challenging the BMCU Spring Classic would be with the weather and competitive top ranked teams that joined us. We know our team can compete at the highest level of NAIA golf and will keep that in mind as the SSAC tournament approaches."
The Toppers will be playing its next tournament in Clifton, Tennessee on April 7
th at the Freed-Hardeman Spring Invite.
