Mobile, AL- The BMCU Men's Golf Team delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Ram Spring Invite, finishing second overall in a competitive eight-team field.
Led by standout performance from multiple players, the team demonstrated consistency and resilience throughout the tournament.
Tom Lehman paced the Toppers with an impressive three round total of 210 (72-70-68), securing a fourth-place individual finish. Lehman's final round 68 was one of the lowest scores of the day, helping BMCU solidify its position on the leaderboard.
Brothers Pontus and Alex Nordstrom also made their mark, placing eighth and eleventh, respectively. 
Pontus carded rounds of 73-71-71 to finish at 215, while Alex posted 70-72-74 for a total of 216.
Rounding out the team's scoring efforts, Cobey Riddle placed fourteenth with a steady performance of 74-73-74-220, and Acen Lambert battled through to finish thirty-fifth, shotting 71-81-75-233.
BMCU's collective effort placed them just shy of the tournament title, but Head Coach Kevin Barefield was pleased with his team's performance.
"I'm really proud of the way our guys competed this week," Barefield said. "Finishing second in a strong field is a great accomplishment, and we had some standout individual performances. Lehman played some fantastic golf, and we had several guys step up when we needed it. This tournament gives us a lot to build on moving forward."
With momentum on their side, the Toppers will look to carry their success into next Tuesday at the Freed-Hardeman Ryder Cup.
