Women’s XC takes third at SSAC Championship; awards pour in

DANVILLE, Ala. – (Results) Blue Mountain Christian Women's XC turned in a solid performance to complete the season here Friday morning, earning a third-place finish as a team in the 6K at the 2025 SSAC Championship with 85 points, along with picking up a large amount of hardware for their efforts.
Freshman star Kaedyn Wilson led the way for the Lady Toppers at the podium, placing third individually with a PR of 22:40.85 and earning the SSAC Freshman of the Year and First-Team All-Conference.  Her performance also guarantees her a slot at the 2025 NAIA National Championship.
Aubrey Britt would finish 12th with a PR of 23:57.65, while Harley Garner was inside the top 20 in 14th with a time of 24:07.67.
Ella Shepherd also had a PR for BMCU, finishing 24th at 25:08.03, Elsie Wilbanks finished 33rd with a PR of 25:55.59, Jorja Kate Mooneyhan landed in 35th with a PR of 26:06.10 and Ruth Hutchinson was 39th with a PR of 26:30.13.
Lexie Faulkner finished 44th at 27:21.54, Tyra Yahola crossed at 45th in a time of 27:33.28 and Macy Bain was 50th in a time of 28:27.30.
"These young ladies have had an outstanding season," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said.  "They have competed against some of the best teams in the nation and produced great results.  I'm very proud of how they have represented BMCU in all they do."
To go along with their strong finish, the Lady Toppers hauled in some major awards:
 
Kaedyn Wilson – Freshman of the Year, First-Team All-Conference, All-Freshman Team, NAIA National Championship Qualifier
Aubrey Britt – Second-Team All-Conference, Champions of Character Team, Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team
Harley Garner – Second-Team All-Conference
Leah Montgomery – Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team
Lauren Paul – Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team
Angel Wright – Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team
