DANVILLE, Ala. – (Results) Blue Mountain Christian men capped off a successful season here Friday morning at the SSAC Championship, racing to fourth place at the 8K event with 102 points.
Jonah Barnhardt hit the podium to lead the Toppers with a PR of 26:07.25, while also being named SSAC First-Team All-Conference and qualifying for the NAIA National Championship.
Lukas Dykes wasn't far behind, turning in a time of 26:47.34 to finish 10^th earning a spot on the Second-Team All-Conference squad, while Andrew Ayala was 18^th in a time of 27:12.43.
Noah Harrington finished 38^th with a PR of 29:01.63, Jakarien Perry was 42^nd in a time of 29:23.94, Erick Flores was 45^th at 29:35.42, Thatchar Victory finished 53^rd with a PR at 30:19.60, Braxton Enzor finished 55^th in a time of 30:56.31, Samuel Hopper finished 56^th at 30:59.45 and Lelan Boulden was 63^rd in a time of 32:10.30.
"I'm really proud of our guys and how they have persevered through this season," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said.  "They love to compete and never back down in any race.  They had a great season and represented BMCU in a great way."
