Palm Harbor, Fl.- BMCU Men's Golf finished sixth in the Invite at Innisbrook out of twenty teams.
Pontus Nordstrom finished fourth in the men's tournament. He shot 73-70-71-214. The BMCU men's team together shot 298-294-297-889.
In the Women's tournament,
Morgan Dabbs placed forty-third. She shot 78-81-76-235. The team shot 324-335-319-978.
Head coach
Kevin Barefield says, "I am very proud of our men and the strong finish they had at Innisbrook. This tournament included a large field of top ranked teams in the country. Our guys did a great job battling one of the toughest courses on the PGA tour and could certainly have an impact on our postseason opportunities." Barefield continues, "I am proud of our ladies and how they competed this week. A couple of our ladies had collegiate low rounds on this tough course. I was happy to see this young team have a solid finish amongst a strong field of teams."
BMCU Men's golf will play their next match September 30
th at the Freed-Hardeman Invite in Henderson, Tennessee. The Women's team will travel to Hattiesburg on September 30
th to play in the William Carey Invite.
