Blue Mountain, Miss.- The BMCU Cross County had their first race day of the 2024 season at Foothill's Invitational in Oxford, Alabama.
The men's team placed ninth out of 19 teams in the race.
Five Toppers had new personal records in the five kilometers run: Will Porter (15:45), Lukas Dykes (15:51), Sam Hopper (17:12), Noah Harrington (17:41), and Jose Merchan (16:44).
The women's team finished tenth out of twenty teams.
Aubrey Britt placed fifty-first with a time of 20:37, while Emma Ruffin and Katie Meeks followed closely behind Britt with times of 20:47 and 20:48.
The Cross Country will move on to their next race which will be held at The Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama on September 13^th.
