NCCAA Lead

BMCU Athletics joins NCCAA

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) voted recently to add Blue Mountain Christian University as a member for the 2024-2025 season.
With the addition of membership in the NCCAA, Blue Mountain Christian enhances its current membership within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).
Based in Greenville, S.C. and established in 1968, the NCCAA uses intercollegiate athletics to further the Great Commission and is committed to equipping student-athletes and coaches to make a positive impact for Christ, according to its web site.
The Toppers will join the NCCAA in the Division I Mideast Region, which currently has five participants.  Members include Alice Lloyd College, Asbury University, Campbellsville University, Kentucky Christian University and Oakland City University.
BMCU Interim Athletic Director Curt Fowler said, "We are thankful the NCCAA has been gracious enough to allow us to join its ranks.  BMCU and the NCCAA both draw from a Biblically based affinity to bring the Gospel of Christ to the forefront of collegiate athletics.  We are excited for this partnership as it will bring additional opportunities for our student-athletes."
