GREENVILLE, Ala. – (Results) (RV) Blue Mountain Christian was back in action here this week at the 2024 SSAC Men's Golf Championship.
The Toppers would finish fourth after the first round Monday, but climbed to third before the second round was over Tuesday and that's where they would finish the tournament, shooting 30-1-304-296.
BMCU's Amalio Vega started making his ascent Tuesday, jumping to a tie in seventh place shooting 73-74 with three birdies in the second round.  Vega continued to rise on the final day with six birdies and posting a 71 for a fourth-place tie finish.
Pontus Nordstrom was tied at 12^th after the second round thanks to three birds of his own in the second round.  Nordstrom would also climb the leaderboard on the final day with a 71 of his own to finish in the top 10 at eighth.
The regular season concludes, and Vega and the Toppers will now wait to see if they will receive a bid to the NAIA National Tournament, scheduled for May 21-24 Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Ga.
