CLINTON, Miss. – (Results) Blue Mountain Christian Women and Men opened the 2024 Outdoor Track & Field schedule Saturday at the Spring Cleaning Meet, hosted by Mississippi College.
On the women's side, Catherine Truemper led her team in the 53000m Steeple by winning first in a time of 11:32.88 000m and finishing 9^th in a time of 18:41.76 in the 5000m.
In a new event for BMCU, Discus Throw, Abby Laney would finish 14^th for BMCU with a 26.90m distance.
Morgan Ellis would also hit a PR in the 800m, finishing in 3:00.76.
On the men's side of action, Will Porter would set a school record, topping his own from last season by .01 seconds in the 5000m and mark a personal best, finishing 13^th in a time of 15:52.12.
Also in the Discus, Eli Parks finished 17^th with a distance of 27.81m.
