DECATUR, Ala. – (RV) Blue Mountain Christian Women jumped on (RV) UT-Southern here Monday, defeating the Firehawks 6-1 in non-conference play.
Both teams are currently receiving votes to be ranked inside the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, with both positioning themselves for bids to the national tournament.
After winning the doubles point, the Lady Toppers belted out five single court victories.
"The ladies played great today," BMCU head coach Dana Horton commented.  "We knew UT-Southern had a really good team and that we would need to be on top of our game today.  It was a competitive win that we believe will get us ready for conference."
