Results) Blue Mountain Christian Men claimed fifth place here Saturday at the SSAC 8K Championship, garnering 112 points.

Will Porter locked up a bid to the NAIA National Championship individually as he led the way for his team with a fourth-place finish in a time of 25:50.97. The NAIA National Championship is slated for November 17 in Vancouver, Wash.
William Carey would win the team crown with 45 points, while Carey's Carson Barlow won the individual title at 25:33.09.
Lukas Dykes had a solid race for the Toppers, finishing 14
th in a time of 26:23.90, while
Joel Parker was 31
st in a time of 27:42.91.
Dawson Boyd was 32
nd in 27:43.07,
David Cox finished 35
th in a time of 27:53.52 and
Andrew Ayala was 36
th at 27:54.40.
Landon Ahrens finished 41
st in a time of 27:59.63,
Jamien Terry was 48
th at 28:25.83,
Kaden Braddock was 57
th in 29:09.84 and
Braxton Enzor finished 59
th in a time of 29:21.09.
"These guys have done great job this season in a really tough conference," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said. "They have competed at a high level and I'm extremely proud of them. I have watched them continually improve throughout the season and it has culminated into a strong finish."
The SSAC also handed down its end-of-the-year awards at the event. Porter and Dykes earned SSAC All-Conference nods, while Porter,
Andrew Ayala and Braddock earned Barnes & Noble All-Academic Team spots. Dykes was also named to the SSAC All-Freshman Team and
Joel Parker was named to the Champions of Character Team.
