ST. LOUIS, Mo – (Results) In the final regular-season race of the 2023 season, Blue Mountain Christian Women had another solid outing here at the St. Louis 5K Fall Classic, finishing 2nd as a team and Catherine Truemper producing a runner-up individual finish.
Truemper would clip the line at 18:46.9, her best time on the season in the 5K, while Makayla Blessike would finish fifth in a time of 19:40.8 and Harley Garner was sixth in a time of 19:52.0.
Katie Meeks and Ami Sherif also timed out in the Top 10, with Meeks finishing eighth in a time of 20:06.9 and Sherif timing out in 10^th at 20:18.9.
Nine teams competed at the event, with College of the Ozarks winning the team title and out of 66 runners, Emil Staal of the Ozarks won individual in a time of 18:31.6.
"Our ladies did outstanding today and have continued to improve each race," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said.  "This is always a fun race for our team and it allows them to run against some strong teams.  It's been a great regular season and we're looking forward to the upcoming conference championship."
