ST. LOUIS, Mo. – (Results) Blue Mountain Christian Men claimed the 2023 St. Louis 8K Fall Cross Country Classic here Saturday, earning 53 points for the victory while Will Porter ran to a runner-up finish in the event.
Porter crossed the line in a scorching time of 25:59.3, while Lukas Dykes also produced a Top 10 for the Toppers, finishing eighth in a time of 27:11.9.
A total of nine teams were at the event, with a field of 74 runners competing.
Joel Parker wasn't far behind the Top 10, finishing 13^th in a time of 28:14.8 for Blue Mountain.
"The guys did a really great job racing today," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said.  "It was a strong field and we competed extremely well.  This is a great race and one that will help us get ready for the SSAC Championship coming up."
Ozark Christian College's Jedidiah Osgood won the individual title, clipping the line at 25:47.3.
