CLINTON, Miss. – (Results) Blue Mountain Christian Women's XC impressed once again Friday, finishing runner-up out of 20 teams at the Watson 6K Classic.
The Lady Toppers would lead several NCAA and NAIA teams along the way, with Catherine Truemper notching another Top 10 podium spot.
Truemper would finish eighth out of 167 runners, an amazing feat for the NAIA star.  She would turn in a swift time of 23:08 to lead Blue Mountain.
Freshman Harley Garner also impressed once again, as she finished 23^rd in a time of 24:20, while Katie Meeks was right behind her in 24^th in a time of 24:22.
Makayla Blessike wasn't far behind Garner and Meeks, finishing 25^th in a time of 24:23.
"Our ladies are improving so much, and it's just a great thing to see," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said.  "I'm so proud of how we competed, and it just shows that we can be one of the best teams in the nation."
